For those of us in or near the island of Manhattan this weekend… tonight and tommorow is this year’s last Manhattanhenge! If you’re not familiar with this, it’s when the setting sun lines up nearly perfectly with the east-west streets of the island. More info can be found here… and if you get any great photos of the event, we’d love to see them!

Here’s an interesting link that someone sent to us…. turn your Canon PowerShot camera into a ‘Supercamera’! This site lets you download a ‘hack’ for your camera that add on many features unheard of in a point and shoot - things like high speed sync, exposure bracketing, and much, much more!
PLEASE NOTE - We here at MP+/tPS have NOT tried and are NOT endorsing this application, and despite the fact the author says it does nothing permanent to your camera, you still may want to tread with care. But if you have an older PowerShot just sitting around in a drawer, it sounds like a lot of fun!
